On February 27, instrument LIN 21/021 came into force, according to which applicants are exempt from paying the application fee for the Visitor visa 600 in the Tourism, Sponsored Family, Business Visitor and Approved Destination options, when the following circumstances apply:
- The applicant is (or was) outside Australia at the time of the application.
- The application is made between February 27, 2021 and December 31, 2022.
- The applicant has NOT received a Visitor visa SC600 under the Frequent Traveller option while outside Australia before March 21, 2020.
- The visa expired or will expire between March 20, 2020 and December 31, 2021.
- The visa was multiple entry or single entry (the latter was not used). The applicant has not been granted a visa or had an application refused in a previous application under this instrument
